ARTHRITIS OF HIP OR KNEE
WITH HYPERTENSION
We are conducting a research study for people with pain related to osteoarthritis in the hip or knee and taking NSAIDs for the pain, and have high blood pressure that is currently treated and controlled. This study is evaluating the effects of an investigational medication on blood pressure.
We are looking for men and women over 40 years of age who have pain associated with osteoarthritis interested in participating in this study. There will be 8 office visits over a period of 24 weeks. All study related office visits, study medication, lab work, and procedures are provided at no cost to participants. There is compensation for your travel expenses.
You may qualify if you can say “yes” to all of the following:
- Currently taking NSAIDs like ibuprofen, naproxen, Aleve, Celebrex, or Tylenol for osteoarthritis pain
- Currently treated for high blood pressure and have it under control
- Be willing to wear a 24 hour blood pressure monitor two times during the study
